The Group of 7 (G7) is a group of the seven major advanced economies as reported by the IMF: the G7 countries represent more than 64% of the net global wealth ($263 trillion) and include Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The Group of 8 (G8) is the G7 with the addition of Russia.
BRIC is a grouping acronym that refers to the countries of Brazil, Russia, India and China which are all deemed to be at a similar stage of newly advanced economic development (that is changing rapidly).
The G20 (or Group of 20) is 19 individual countries along with the European Union (EU). The 19 countries are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
